I’m Lidiana Cartolano, owner of VIVA Psychotherapy. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, providing therapy in both English and Portuguese. My practice welcomes children, adolescents, adults.

With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring extensive training in various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Imago Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). As a Psychologist in Brazil, I have honed my skills to help clients overcome their struggles and enhance their daily functioning and well-being.

I specialize in treating trauma-related disorders, including anxiety and depression, across all age groups. My trauma-informed approach ensures that I understand the profound impact of trauma on individuals. I focus on asking, “What happened to you?” rather than “What is wrong with you?”

At VIVA Psychotherapy, I strive to create a safe and compassionate environment where clients feel heard and supported. My goal is to develop a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, empowering them to make informed choices about their therapy journey. Compassion and respect are the cornerstones of my practice.

Incorporating play, art, sandtray and mindfulness techniques into my sessions, I help clients develop healthy coping skills and self-regulation strategies. By honoring my clients’ voices and choices, I aim to empower them to achieve their personal goals and improve their overall well-being.
